Bonnie studied law at the University of Alberta after attaining Dean's List standing in the Faculty of Business. She quickly developed a strong interest in criminal and constitutional law and has since developed significant expertise through her experience as a Crown Prosecutor, criminal defence lawyer and lawyer with the Constitutional Law Branch of Alberta Justice. Bonnie has extensive trial experience, having been a prosecutor within the Serious and Violent Crime Unit of the Edmonton Crown Prosecutor's Office, and has utilized her experience to train members of the police service by lecturing at the Northwest Region RCMP Advanced Surveillance Techniques Course, Edmonton Police Service Enhancing Witness Testimony Course and Western Canada Armed Robbery Conference. She is a member of the Criminal Trial Lawyers Association. Bonnie has now chosen to restrict her practice entirely to criminal defence and is particularly interested in advocating on behalf of persons whose rights have been violated. She has had success resolving criminal matters without criminal record and will be an asset to any person charged or facing potential charges. |
